About the station
LMFM is a local radio station in the northeast of Ireland, describing itself as “The Voice of the North East”. The coverage area primarily includes the counties of Louth and Meath. The station is part of the Onic group, which allows the program to be received online via its player and app.
The sports section occupies its own space on the website alongside news and local topics. The focus is on broadcasts and reports from the region, particularly Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) games and League of Ireland football. In addition, there are special programs for individual matches, which the station announces separately.
Among other things, the program “The Late Lunch” is part of the regular daily schedule. Additionally, Onic produces a series of podcasts, although these are predominantly not from the sports sector. Musically, LMFM relies on a wide-ranging pop and oldies repertoire, which is visible on the website in the recently played tracks.
