Radio Varna

Radio Varna is the regional radio programme of the Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) for the Varna region. As part of the state public broadcaster, it offers current news, culture and talk shows, as well as content about the local region. BNR, founded in 1935, operates nine regional stations in addition to national programmes such as Horizont and Christo Botev, including Radio Varna.

The programme targets listeners in the Black Sea coastal region and is broadcast via FM frequencies, online stream, and possibly DAB. It is funded mainly through advertising and state funding. Despite private competition, BNR remains the leader in terms of listener numbers. Regional focus areas include local events, culture, and information.

Since 1998, BNR programmes have also been available online, expanding their reach.
