Cosmo Radio

Cosmo Radio is the international and intercultural radio programme of Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR), in cooperation with Radio Bremen and Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (RBB). It is aimed at cosmopolitan listeners with Global Pop, world music, and voices from all over the world.

The programme evolved from the former Funkhaus Europa (until 2016) and the multicultural Radio Multikulti of SFB/RBB, which launched in 1994. COSMO offers contributions on politics, culture, economics, and sports, with a focus on migrants in Germany, including Polish-language programmes such as COSMO po polsku. In the studio, experts, politicians, and artists are guests.

The station highlights German-Polish relations and life between the Oder and the Rhine. Currently, COSMO faces the threat of being discontinued due to cost-cutting measures at public broadcasters.
