Radio Ennepe Ruhr

Radio Ennepe Ruhr is a local radio station in the Ennepe-Ruhr district in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The station launched on 31 August 1991 as Radio EN and was renamed Radio Ennepe Ruhr on 22 September 2008. It serves the approximately 324,000 residents of the nine towns in the district, including Hattingen, Schwelm and Witten.

The programme includes local news, weather and traffic reports, as well as advertising on weekdays from 6:00 to 19:00. The morning show ‘Der neue Morgen’ is hosted on weekdays from 6:00 to 10:00 by Oliver Behrendt and Florian Franke, who take turns presenting. After a crisis period during which it was covered by Radio NRW’s programming, the station relaunched in early 2023 and achieved a listenership share of over 22 percent in 2023.

Musically, the station offers a mix of 80s, rock, Top 40 and themed playlists such as 2000s hits. It positions itself as a reliable partner for information and entertainment in the region.
