Antenne Bethel
About the station
Antenne Bethel is an inclusive institutional radio station from Bielefeld-Bethel, operated by the v. Bodelschwinghschen Stiftungen Bethel. People with and without disabilities jointly shape the programme as presenters, editors, and technicians.
The station went on air on 4 November 2000 and celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2025. Every day from Monday to Friday, it broadcasts a one-hour magazine programme at 6 p.m., which is repeated the following day, as well as live broadcasts of church services and events on weekends. The programme is limited to topics related to the Bethel Foundations and is produced by around 30 volunteers, supported by participants in the Betheljahr programme.
Antenne Bethel grew out of the former hospital radio and is a nationwide unique pilot project of the State Media Authority of North Rhine-Westphalia.
