Deutschlandfunk

At the heart of Deutschlandfunk’s programming are in-depth spoken-word contributions, current reporting, and political analyses from Berlin, Bonn, and around the world. The full-format program broadcast nationwide completely dispenses with commercial music and instead focuses consistently on in-depth interviews, background reports, radio plays, and debates on social, cultural, and scientific topics.

Listeners receive a detailed classification of daily political events in the hourly news bulletins and in long-form magazine programs. This information offering is supplemented by live broadcasts of important parliamentary debates, press reviews, and feuilleton contributions that shape the broadcaster’s public-service mandate in Germany.
