WDR 1Live – Originale

1LIVE Originale is a digital stream from the WDR station 1LIVE that specialises in popular hits and throwback songs. Every day is like a Throwback Thursday with the biggest successes from the charts, the 2000s, rock and pop, linked to special moments and the 1LIVE sector.

1LIVE itself launched on April 1, 1995 as the successor to WDR 1 and targets a young audience in North Rhine-Westphalia. The programme comes from the 1-Live-Haus in Cologne city centre and offers a mix of current pop music, charts and regional content. Well-known shows like Kultkomplex or Heimatkult shaped its history. The stream 1LIVE Originale complements the main programme with timeless favourites.
