MDR THÜRINGEN
About the station
The public broadcaster MDR Thüringen is firmly established in Erfurt as the regional broadcasting house of the Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk and provides the entire state with local news and information. The programme is aimed at listeners who, in addition to current news from politics, culture and sport, particularly value a musical focus on Oldies and well-known hits from past decades.
In addition to its musical character, the programme places great emphasis on close local reporting from Thuringia’s regions, towns and districts. The offering is complemented by magazine programmes, reports and talk formats that inform about events in the Free State. The radio programme can be received via FM frequencies throughout the state, as well as via DAB+ and live stream.
