ORF FM4

The Austrian station ORF FM4 is a tri-media youth and culture platform of the public broadcaster ORF. The programming targets an audience beyond the mainstream and focuses intensively on pop culture, alternative music, film, literature, and games. Alongside unconventional music formats and electronic soundscapes, as heard on Radio Rudina, the station’s profile is shaped by socio-political reporting and in-depth interviews.

The editorial approach combines current chart analysis with critical journalism on topics such as human rights, technology, and the environment. Special series like Auf Laut also address pressing social issues. ORF FM4 places strong emphasis on independent editorial focus beyond the commercial radio medium and is available nationwide via FM and digital broadcast.
