ORF OE1 Campus

As the experimental radio of the public broadcasting network ORF, Ö1 Campus serves as a platform for unconventional audio formats and advanced sound art. The programming is aimed at listeners interested in boundary-pushing work between word, music, and experimental audio that has no place in regular broadcasting. Historically, the project is rooted in the early days of the former station Radio 1476, from which today’s digital orientation developed.

The specialized programming is produced as part of the portfolio of Austria’s largest cultural and information medium. In terms of content, the station complements the classic Ö1 offering with unadulterated, purely experimental contributions distributed via streams and digital infrastructures. In doing so, the station consistently serves as a laboratory for innovative radio formats, acoustic collages, and contemporary art forms in broadcasting.
