ORF Radio Burgenland

ORF Radio Burgenland is the regionally based state studio of the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation for the easternmost federal state, broadcasting from its studio in Eisenstadt. The programme targets an adult audience with a clear musical focus on oldies, Schlager, and Austro-Pop. In addition to music, daily news segments, magazines, and live reports inform listeners about current events in the districts of Burgenland, cultural initiatives, and cross-border topics.

Among the best-known formats are regionally rooted programmes such as “Guten Morgen Burgenland” for the start or end of the day, as well as various music specials. The station can be received terrestrially via FM on various frequencies in Burgenland, as well as via DAB+ and ORF’s digital audio offering. Founded in the post-war decades as part of the state broadcasting house network, the programme has shaped Burgenland’s media landscape to this day and also includes the minorities of the Burgenland Croatian and Hungarian ethnic groups through their own editorial contributions.
